Visit London is a private company limited by guarantee. It was established
in 1963 and it is the official organisation for London. Visit
London employs around 100 staff under Chief Executive, James Bidwell.
Visit London is funded by partnership subscriptions and commercial activity.
It receives public funding from the Department for Culture, Media and
Sport via the Mayor of London and the London Development Agency and London Councils.
Visit London’s offices are on the south bank of the River Thames between London Bridge and Tower Bridge, next to City Hall. Contact

Visit London’s role is to:
- Promote and market London to leisure and business visitors.
- Advocate quality improvements to tourism infrastructure and services.
- Work to maximise the benefits of tourism for Londoners and the local
economy.
- Visit London works closely with a number of key partners.
