Nigel Joined TfL in 2003 as Head of Group Marketing Communications and was promoted to Director of Group Marketing in early 2006. His remit covers all customer service operations, advertising and promotion, TfL’s Internet and Intranet sites, customer research and London’s Transport Museum. Over the last 4 years he has been instrumental in significantly improving all aspects of TfL’s marketing outputs.
He started his career at Saatchi's in the early 80s and after a 9 year stint left to join his then client Pfizer with a brief to help them set up a European Consumer division. Plans changed and the company was sold to Colgate Palmolive, where Nigel was given the job of European Category Manager – Mouthrinses. Shortly after this Nigel joined Cadbury Schweppes where he took the lead on the development and launch of Oasis, the company's most successful new product launch ever. His last stop before TfL was at Yell where he took charge of their marketing function. During his time there he produced a raft of award winning campaigns that helped the company achieve double digit revenue growth.
