Visit London is the official visitor organisation for the capital. Our aim is to promote London as the world’s most exciting city by marketing to domestic and overseas leisure and business visitors, as well as Londoners themselves. The Role
The SEO Specialist will have solid knowledge of working client or agency side and be fully conversant with the wider spectrum of core SEO and SEM techniques, especially in the travel and ecommerce arenas.
Key to this position will be creating and maintaining profitable PPC campaigns, as well as balancing PPC with organic search strategies to optimise performance and return on investment
The SEO Specialist will also ensure that the technical SEO implementation reports for the development and editorial teams are in place and that they are given clear recommendations on SEO best practice. You will also be identifying and recommending link build strategies including the utilisation of social networks and reputation management.
Main Responsibilities
- Keyword / key phrase research and generation
- Competitor and market analysis reports
- Creating and presenting website audits
- Ability to identify SEO and SEM trends & new technologies
- An understanding of how PPC sits alongside SEO in within the marketing mix
- Provide instructions for site optimisation through articulate communication written and verbal
- Devising link building strategies
- Implementation of SEO and SEM strategy
- Run and analyse digital marketing campaigns (including pay-per-click advertising, banner adverts, affiliate etc)
- Work closely with web editors, designers and web developers
- Understand issues surrounding user experience, accessibility and information architecture
- Blend specific site marketing and territory brand marketing search plans
- Work closely with Visit London marketing team
The Candidate
- Google Adwords Professional accreditation
- Knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS, W3C, tracking and web-analytics
- Proficiency with all MS Office packages
- Strong presentations skills
- Proven experience in SEO and SEM in the travel and ecommerce sector
- Ability to work as part of a team but also independently
- Passion in Online Marketing
