Visit London is the official visitor organisation for the capital. Our aim is to promote London as the world’s most exciting city by marketing to domestic and overseas leisure and business visitors, as well as Londoners themselves. Located in state-of-the-art offices near City Hall, we are a dynamic, fast-moving, organisation with over 100 staff that represents some of the best talent in the business.
The Role
To deliver ongoing and incremental revenue for Visit London from commercial deals, from both new and existing brand partners.
Duties include:
- Develop and implement strategic sales action plan for new partnerships and up selling of existing partners to higher levels of membership
- Develop and implement commercial development strategy in line with VL objectives – brand extensions/ sponsorship etc
- Leverage 2012 host city status for Olympic brand sponsor opportunities, in conjunction with the Brand Partnership Team, and develop commercial proposals and business cases for each
- Recruit new non-Olympic brand partners for Visit London
- Be Visit London’s contact point for all negotiations with brand partners
- Develop key promotional tools and assets to leverage additional funds from existing brand partners
- Work with Brand Partnership Team and key London stakeholders to develop London-wide opportunities for potential brand partners to showcase their brands in the run-up to 2012 and beyond
- Develop business cases for bespoke marketing activities for potential brand partners
- Undertake other reasonable duties as allocated by the line manager
- Manage business development managers
The Candidate
- Negotiation of multi-faceted business development contracts in a fast-paced environment
- Membership or sponsorship sales experience an advantage
- Ability to spot creative commercial opportunities at any level with both existing and potential commercial partners
- Excellent negotiation and contract formulation skills
- Excellent communication skills – verbal & written
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Commercially creative
- Passionate about London
