London Unlimited was set up in 2005 and is responsible for the international promotion of London. Its role is to develop a global brand for London that consistently promotes the capital as the best in the world in which to invest, study and conduct business. As such it provides a halo for the marketing activities of Visit London, Think London, Film London and London Higher.
The 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games present an opportunity to create an overarching brand strategy for London. London Unlimited will capitalise on this opportunity and the other unique elements of London to deliver professional marketing and communications campaigns which promote the capital as a leading world city and world’s leading destination.

Development and communication of a brand for London that positions the capital as:
- A leading world city at the beginning of the 21st Century;
- A diverse and multicultural city – the most international world capital;

- A sustainable city;
- A leading city for culture and creativity;
- A leading financial centre and Europe’s business capital;
- The place to study for international students;
- A leading centre or research, science and technology.
Promotion and marketing of these brand values through communications campaigns that resonate with Londoners and specifically target the emerging markets of China, India, Russia and Brazil.
