The Sales team recruits partners to Visit London by offering a comprehensive range or Visit London services.
The work of the Partnerships team is to provide professional services to Visit London partners. The team has a central liaison role, communicating with partners on behalf of other departments; and hence putting partners’ goods or services in front of the end user (visitors).
In particular, partnership works closely with marketing in promoting London as the world-class destination of choice for leisure and for business.
Other core activities include:
- Partnership recruitment and retention;
- Dynamic programme of partner events (networking);
- Marketing/training workshops;
- Maintaining the partner database;
- Online booking services for accommodation, restaurants, tickets and travel.
The Brand Partnership Team (BPT) creates and manages relationships between Visit London and major commercial partners in light of the opportunity to deliver London's brand assets to meet the commercial and marketing objectives for major corporations without compromising LOCOG's commercial and brand restrictions. In addition, the BPT also provides a traffic management and information service on Olympic marketing related issues. BPT is based in Visit London offices and the team are seconded from Javelin and SMAM.
