During 2006/7 and 2007/8 Visit London commissioned 13 marketing surgeries under the aegis of the London Councils Work Programme.
Boroughs bid for the opportunity to benefit from tailored, one-to-one marketing advice. The topics included advice on implementing visitor surveys, information and recommendations on developing business tourism, advice on developing a tourism strategy and action plan, visitor experience audits, general tourism marketing issues, an assessment of using new technology to provide visitor information and marketing attractions.
