Visit London Awards 2006
Thursday 23 November, The Roundhouse, London NW1
The much anticipated unveiling of the 2006 award winners in 21 categories took place at a glitzy black tie ceremony on the 23 November at the Roundhouse. The event was completely sold out with a record number of guests (over 800) in attendance.
The setting for the 2006 Awards ceremony was one of London’s newest and most exciting landmark venues. With its fascinating heritage and track record for iconic performances, the Roundhouse has recently been extensively restored into a state-of-the-art performance venue and a brand new creative centre for young people.
The stunning reception was lit up by images of the world renowned Tutankhamun exhibition coming to London in November 2007. GMTV's impressible Kate Garraway hosted the Awards and the entertainment, sponsored by The O2, included the phenomenal soul legend Jocelyn Brown singing live on stage.

Winners Announced 2006
In 2006 we had more award categories than ever before, reflecting the incredibly wide variety of businesses and people who contribute to London’s success as a destination. Download the Event Brochure [PDF 18MB] to find out more about the winners in each of the award categories.
Entries into the 21 award categories were judged against a number of criteria. In particular the 27 judges were looking for examples of innovative marketing, a sustainable approach to product and service development, a commitment to improving accessibility, investment in staff training and development, and outstanding customer care. All of the shortlisted finalists demonstrated exceptional standards in these areas but there could only be one overall winner in each category. We would like to congratulate all of the 2006 winners on their success.
