Itinerary - London for Groups

Day 1

Morning

Take the Circular Cruise departing from Westminster Pier and have a hop-on, hop-off tour of London from the River Thames.

Stop off at County Hall and visit the Saatchi Gallery - one of London’s newest galleries promoting young artists including Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin.

Tate Modern's Turbine Hall. Tate photographyDon’t miss the new development of bankside where you can have a tour of Shakespeare’s Globe, wander the halls of the Tate Modern or walk over the Millennium Bridge and visit St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Lunch

Have lunch at Tate Modern’s Café 2, which offers a wide range of tasty modern-international dishes. Ring in advance if you want to reserve a table.

Afternoon

Catch the boat back to Embankment and then head to Oxford Street, Regents Street and Carnaby for a bit of shopping in London’s most famous shopping streets. Don’t miss Selfridges in Oxford Street, or Kingly Court off Carnaby Street.

Evening

Head down to Dover Street Restaurant & Bar for an evening of jazz, swing, soul, blues and latin - to dance the night away. Special group menus are available.

Day 2

Morning

Take the Tube to Kew and visit The Royal Botanic Gardens - a mixture of stunning vistas, magnificent glass houses and beautiful landscapes beside the Thames.

Lunch and Afternoon

Portobello Market at Notting Hill has some delicious delicatessens and vegetarian stalls, you and your group will be able to grab a bite to eat here while exploring the stalls of arts and crafts, antiques and clothes.

Kensington PalaceTour the State Apartments which include paintings from the Royal Collection, gaze at Diana, Princess of Wales’ eveningwear and see some of Queen Elizabeth II’s dresses at Kensington Palace. Don’t miss Afternoon Tea in the Orangery. Walk off your afternoon tea in Kensington Gardens and enjoy one of London’s many green spaces.

Evening

Go on a guided tour of historic London pubs with you very own Blue Badge Guide, (available in most languages). A great way to experience traditional London pubs while being given an insight into London’s history.

Day 3

Morning

Take the 11am tour of Fuller’s Brewery in Chiswick to see how English ale is brewed (tours open to over 14s only).

Lunch

Make your way back to Trafalgar Square to the Café in the Crypt at St Martin-in-the-Fields church. The Café in the Crypt offers good value, self-service food. If you’re lucky you will be able to catch a free lunchtime concert in the church at 1pm (Monday, Tuesday and Friday).

Afternoon

For something a bit different go to Sir John Soane’s Museum at Lincoln’s Inn Fields. Groups are asked to make a donation of £50. The house contains the many artefacts and antiquities that the architect Soane collected throughout his lifetime – the house was designed by Soane to live in and to house his collection.

Royal Opera HouseEvening

Experience London theatre - from musicals such as Billy Elliot and Mamma Mia, to opera and ballet at the Royal Opera House and modern dance at the Sadler’s Wells. Make sure you get your groups’ tickets in advance.

After the show go to Piccadilly Circus and walk up to Veeraswamy in Regent’s Street, London’s oldest Indian restaurant, for your last meal in London.
